Egypt dismisses almost 600 police officers

Egypt’s Interior Ministry has announced that hundreds of senior police officers are losing their jobs.

A cleanout of police ranks has been one of the demands of the pro-democracy movement, which blames officers for killing hundreds of protesters during the revolution.

Al Jazeera’s Imran Khan reports.
